Legend of the Doppelganger
A myth is a sacred story from the past. It may explain the origin of the universe and of life, or it may express its culture's moral values in human terms.
Basically it is : Mitos / Lagenda / Cerita Dongeng
Myth of the day : Doppelganger
I find this ghost very interesting, frightening and worth to read about.
The legend of the doppelganger, a predator to their human counterpart.
Are you afraid ?
A doppleganger is a look-alike of oneself, a form of bilocation - the ability of an individual or an object to appear at the same instant time and same place. It is said that a doppelganger is a ghost, which appears in a form of a look-alike of a person. In some traditions, doppelganger is known as an omen of death, generally, bad luck.
Legend has it that when you saw or even caught a glimpse of 'your doppelganger', you are to face your death angel very soon. So, if by any chance you should see a replica of yourself, and you are sure that it is not a reflection, don't panic. Why ? Because there are cases of people dying shortly after seeing their doppleganger, due to shock.
There are actually a lot of definitions to a doppelganger. Some say, it is a ghost of yourself from the past, coming to visit you in the future. Sometimes, to warn the future 'you' about something. It is also said that, your doppelganger is something like a twin of yours. Usually, an evil twin. The complete opposite of you and sometimes will try to harm you and your love ones. Or maybe just a more mischievous clone of you, less dangerous.
Harbingers of bad luck or not, it is not always a negative thing, to have come face to face with your doppelganger, for there are a lot of people who are still alive even after they've met their doppelganger. They lost nothing, but gained a hell of good story to tell. So the conclusion is, there is no definite proof on whether or not one shall die after the meeting.
However, I read this article, on which the writer stated that if you constantly keep seeing your doppelganger..... High chances are that your days are numbered.
